It's Summertime..it's summertime...it's so HOT!!

This summer has been interesting that's for sure. It's also been very HOT! I believe the highest was 105 and with humidity on top of that. Crazy is what it is. We've been doing lot of fun activities though. The princess has become like a dolphin. One of the sisters in our ward agreed to teach her if I watched her 3 children (mainly her 11 mo old) and let her do about 20-30 min of laps. I readily agreed. I'm so glad that we have a pool.
Things are a little bit weird this summer. Normally we go tubing at least 4 or more times and we go to the beach at least once. We went tubing the Sat right before we flew to Utah. On Sunday my man started to feel spasms starting at his foot and shooting up his leg. Our health care physicians are still trying to figure out what's wrong although the specialist thinks he just has a pinched nerve. It has curtailed many of our activities. He actually wears a boot and has a cane. It's crazy. I'm also the driver all the time since we have a stick shift car and his foot that is in pain is his left. Not fun at all. Everytime that it starts to heal our diva does something to injure it again whether its stepping on it or the first time was hitting a phone there. I still don't know how that happened. Also we were supposed to go to the beach but my mans parents are selling it. We have truly been blessed in the past to be able to go to the beach or tubing without having to pay for a place. It's going to be painful next time when we go to rent a place at the beach.
Talking about Utah, we went out there for almost 10 days, at least the girls and I did. My sister got married and then we visited family. We also were able to do some temple work while we were there. My man's mom was finally sealed to her parents. It was such an awesome experience, one that I'll never forget. :) It was great. We also got to spend time with both sides of the family. Many of them had not met our diva yet so that was lots of fun. It was also a great break. When we pulled into my sis-in-laws driveway, we had been there for 5 minutes and my girls were whisked off to play with their cousins. My sis and I were able to go run errands. Wow...that was amazing to go shopping without kids. It was pure bliss. I was very spoiled. :)
It is so crazy to believe that we are in August. Next week our diva turns 2. I can't believe how fast time is flying. She has such a mischievous personality. A couple of weeks before we left for Utah she climbed out of her crib and then the next night she climbed out of her playpen. She is so curious. It's fun to be able to watch her learn and grow. She is learning to say new words every day and has such a great memory.
In April our princess turned 8. She was able to be baptized on her birthday which was such a great and awesome experience. I'm so proud of her that she followed our Savior Jesus Christs example.

Card Challenge (MTSC62) & Fun.

Okay...so I've got into cards lately and I've decided to enter my first challenge. This is Mercy's Tuesday Challenge MTSC62.

I used cardstock-pink, maroon, cream; inkadinkado fancy that butterfly, ink it up black pigment stamp, black fine tip creative memory marker, stampin'up grey pencil, black martha stewart embossing powder, red stampin'up pencil, berry creative memory fine tip marker, ribbon, flowery paper, creative memories circles from the cutting system. Next time I'll make sure I write down where I got all the papers. I know I got them from Michaels but I don't know which company. Sorry.

What do you think of the card? I tried embossing for the first time. It is so much fun. I enjoy it. Now I've got to do more cards. :) I also need to catch up on my girls scrapbooks. Nothing to do. :)
Here's also a card that I did with skipping stones design stamps. I love their stamps. On the inside it says "as the pitter-patter of little feet".
